Privacy Policy

Last updated: September 2026

This Privacy Policy explains what information Namaxy collects, how it is used, and the choices available to you. It applies to namaxy.com and every generator hosted on it.

1. Text You Enter Stays On Your Device

Every name, nickname and block of text you type into a Namaxy generator is transformed entirely inside your browser using JavaScript. The text is never sent to our servers, never written to a database, and never logged.

Because the transformation is local, we have no technical means of reading, recovering or sharing what you generate.

2. Cookies and Local Storage

Namaxy and its partners use cookies and browser local storage. A cookie is a small text file stored by your browser; local storage is a similar mechanism that keeps data on your device until it is cleared.

We use them for the following purposes:

  • Essential: remembering your cookie consent choice and your light or dark theme preference. These are stored in your browser's local storage and are never transmitted to us.
  • Analytics: understanding aggregate traffic, which pages are visited and how the site performs.
  • Advertising: allowing third-party vendors, including Google, to serve and measure advertisements.

3. Advertising and Google AdSense

We display advertising served by Google AdSense. Google is a third-party vendor and uses cookies to serve ads on this site.

Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to this site and other sites on the internet. This may include personalized advertising.

You can opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings at google.com/settings/ads, or opt out of third-party vendor cookies for personalized advertising at aboutads.info/choices. Where required by law, personalized advertising is only enabled after you give consent.

Third-party vendors and ad networks may also serve ads on this site and may use their own cookies, web beacons and similar technologies, which are governed by their own privacy policies.

4. Analytics

We use Google Analytics to measure aggregated traffic and site performance. Analytics cookies collect information such as pages viewed, approximate region, browser and device type, and referring site.

We do not collect or attempt to derive personally identifiable information through analytics, and we do not combine analytics data with any other data set.

5. Information We Collect

We collect only what is necessary to operate the site:

  • Information you volunteer: if you use our contact form, we receive the name, email address and message you submit, so that we can reply.
  • Automatically collected data: standard technical information such as IP address, browser type, device type, referring page and timestamps, collected by our hosting provider, analytics and advertising partners.
  • We do not collect the content you type into any generator.

6. Your Rights Under the GDPR (EEA and UK)

If you are located in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, you have rights over your personal data under the General Data Protection Regulation.

Our legal bases for processing are: your consent, for advertising and analytics cookies; and our legitimate interest in operating, securing and improving the site.

You have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you.
  • Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data.
  • Request erasure of your data.
  • Restrict or object to processing, including objecting to processing based on legitimate interests.
  • Receive your data in a portable, machine-readable format.
  • Withdraw consent at any time, without affecting processing carried out before withdrawal.
  • Lodge a complaint with your national supervisory authority.

7. Your Rights Under the CCPA and CPRA (California)

If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the CPRA, gives you specific rights over your personal information.

We do not sell your personal information for money. Note that the sharing of identifiers with advertising partners for cross-context behavioural advertising may be treated as a "sale" or "share" under California law; you may opt out of it using the cookie controls described in this policy and the Google opt-out links in section 3.

You have the right to:

  • Know what categories of personal information we collect, use and disclose.
  • Request deletion of personal information we hold about you.
  • Request correction of inaccurate personal information.
  • Opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information.
  • Limit the use of sensitive personal information; we do not collect sensitive personal information.
  • Be free from discrimination for exercising any of these rights.

8. How to Exercise Your Rights

To exercise any right described above, contact us using the details in the final section. We will respond within the period required by applicable law. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request.

9. Managing Cookies Yourself

You can change your consent choice at any time by clearing this site's data in your browser, which resets the cookie banner. Most browsers also let you block or delete cookies entirely through their settings.

Blocking essential storage may reset your theme preference and cause the cookie banner to reappear on every visit. It will not stop the generators from working, since they run locally.

10. Data Retention and Security

Messages sent through the contact form are retained only as long as needed to handle your enquiry. Analytics and advertising data are retained according to the policies of the respective providers.

The site is served over HTTPS. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

11. International Transfers

Our hosting, analytics and advertising providers may process data in countries other than your own, including the United States. Where required, these transfers rely on appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.

12. Children's Privacy

Namaxy is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

13. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected in the "last updated" date at the top of this page.

14. Contact
